Oman Introduces Influencer Licence: What You Need to Know
Oman has recently introduced a new regulation that requires any talent promoting goods or services on social media to obtain a licence for paid collaborations with brands effective March 24, 2023. The licence is free of charge, tax-free and is valid for three years.
Individuals can apply for the licence through the Invest Easy portal here, Companies that deal with unlicenced influencers may be fined up to 1,000 OMR, face licence suspension for a year or licence cancellation after a warning.
