Starting 1 October 2022, Facebook will shut down its live video shopping feature, two years after its release. The feature lets influencers host live shopping events directly on Facebook, where they could invite their followers to purchase from a carousel of products. The platform will shut down this native shopping initiative and will focus instead on short-form content.
